Bi Activists' Weekend, Leicester, 26-27 November 2011

Leicester LGBT Centre

Calling all bi activists and those who want to discuss the future of bi events, bi research and bi communities in the UK. Such matters and more will be discussed on the weekend of 26-27 November and all are welcome.

Bisexual Activist Weekends are an informal chance for new and existing bi activists to network and share ideas, collaborate and compare approaches, and hone best practice. If you've never thought of yourself as a bisexual activist they're somewhere you can get ideas, swap skills, get support, and kickstart your activism!

They are not intended as an introduction to bisexuality, nor as counselling spaces for people unsure about being bisexual. The UK's BiCon and the regional BiFests regularly feature facilitator-led sessions on these topics. For more about those events, and about bisexuality, please see this website.

This activists' weekend will include the training on race for which funding was agreed at this year's BiCon. The event is being hosted by Leicester LGBT Centre. The expected times are Saturday 12pm - 6pm, Sunday 10am - 4pm (subject to confirmation).

To book a place or for more information please email weekend@bisexualindex.org.uk - bookings and timings will be confirmed via email closer to the date.
